Farm Sanctuary is the largest farm animal protection organization in the United States. The Watkins Glen location is home to hundreds of rescued cows, pigs, turkeys, and other farm animals, each with their own unique story to tell. The sanctuary is open to the public Wednesday – Sunday during the months of June, July, and August, and on Saturdays and Sundays in September and October.
The tours are interactive and about an hour long, and provide guests with the opportunity to get up close and personal with the animals who call Farm Sanctuary home while learning more about factory farming. The organization’s mission is to protect farm animals from cruelty, inspire change in the way society views and treats farm animals, and promote a reduction in the consumption of animal products.
